Type with Pride is a typography project celebrating the life of artist, activist, & Rainbow Flag creator Gilbert Baker.
Leading up to Pride Month (June), the team at Ogilvy New York asked us how we could bring the idea to a younger, broader audience. Since we were just beginning to explore the use of video on Instagram, we came up with the idea of bringing the LGBTQ+ movement to life through animation and depth of meaning. Each day in June, we released another letter of the Gilbert alphabet to showcase the people, places and events that built this vibrant LGBTQ+ community.
