Lenovo had just taken full custody of the Thinkpad name when the Beijing Olympics rolled around. The brief was to remind people that Thinkpad technology was still ahead of the game, but the brand was getting a lot more relatable. We worked with director, Dave Laden, to come up with the most bizarrely relatable situations where you’d need “one-button recovery,” the ThinkPad’s hottest technological feature at the time.
